Winter

I went to the Post Office in the dark this morning with a bumper order of Christmas Cards, then spent the day choosing pieces to hang at The Cranbrook Art Show The hounds will need their winter blankets soon, it is bitterly cold. I also discovered that anyone can visit Catterline and stay in the cottage Joan Eardley used as her studio. Tempting, very very tempting. I found a snippet from the Coast programme here

  1. Thank you for the link. I'd missed that Coast programme, but will delve further into her work. I, too, am tempted by a stay in the cottage, but it is so far away .... .

  2. www.pallantbookshop.com has both books published about her. The blue one has the better images.

  3. I have a dirt magnet of a dog, are your dog beds wipeable? I'm sick of all the washing!

  4. Plastic beds - hoover and wipe. Inside the beds a dog pillow with pillow case that comes off...

  5. Thank you for highlighting this Coast programme - I must have missed this. Joan Eardley is one of my favourite painters and I also like Anna King who is featured in the video as well.
Don't think you could get any closer to the sea - what a very inspiring place the cottage is.
